Detailed Admission Process

Primary School Admission

All children to be admitted shall have their application forms completed by their parents/guardians.

  • Children admitted are usually between the ages of two and five for the Pre-school and Reception classes
  • Primary classes are for children between five and six years
  • The selection process depends largely on scores obtained from I.Q. tests and other types of tests/interviews administered by the school
  • Offer of admission is on a first come, first served basis

Application forms and prospectus are obtained from the school office on payment of the application fee.

Secondary School Admission

Requirements for Secondary School Admission:

  • The prospective candidate must have completed at least year 5 (or its equivalent) in a recognized primary school within or outside the country
  • The child must also be at least 10 years old by September of the year of admission
  • An application form is obtained, after which a prospective student writes an entrance examination
  • This is followed by a comprehensive interview conducted on the school premises

Admission is restricted to years 7, 8, 10 and 11, subject to vacancies in any of these classes.

Important Notes

  • Students seeking admission into any of the classes must follow the same procedure
  • A letter of admission and requisite administrative charges are rendered void after the expiry date specified on the admission letter
  • It is important that both parents meet the Principal/Head of schools before a student is finally admitted into any of our Secondary Schools

Academic Records

Previous school records and transcripts from the last two years.

Birth Certificate

Copy of birth certificate or equivalent age verification document.

Photographs

Two recent passport-sized photographs of the student.

Medical Records

Immunization records and comprehensive medical report.

Identification

Copy of parents' or guardians' identification documents.

Fees Information

Payment Information

  • Details of fees and levies can be obtained from the accounts department of the school
  • All fees and charges are paid through bank drafts
  • The fees for each term should be paid on or before the first day of the term
  • Fees are subject to review from time to time
  • Notice of an increase in fees is usually given a considerable time beforehand

Payment Options & Discounts

  • School fees are paid annually or termly, but are due on or before the first day of school
  • Fees include Registration, Tuition, Deposit, Accommodation and Feeding, as well as Caution
  • Overall best students in the exit classes have automatic bursary for the one in the next class
  • There are annual discounts for children of the same families, family with special needs, etc.

Mode of payment: Only certified bank drafts made payable to MIGHTY SCHOOL FOR VALOURS, Lagos, are acceptable.
